Your host Chef David Buchanan is an experienced chef who worked in Michelin-starred restaurants around the world. So, it doesn’t come as a surprise that we pride ourselves in using only the freshest locally sourced produce to provide you with a fantastic dining experience.
Our monthly Secret Shebeen Supperclub in the downstairs part of Blackstairs House is a fantastic opportunity to indulge in delicious food, warm hospitality and engaging conversations. All whilst trying something new!

A former townhall, jail and highland dance studio – Blackstairs House has been an establishment in the heart of Wick for over 200 years.
You can sense the history of our building around very corner with original elements preserved until this very day. We see ourselves as custodians of this very special place. By only using the very finest of Scottish produce not only in our restaurant but also when it comes to furnishing our rooms, we hope to preserve the unique charm of Blackstairs House.
